San Bernard River cruise update:
Due to the ClearCreek / hwy146 closure the plan is to be back by Sunday May 16
Still planning on leaving Friday May 7 at 8.00 am from marker 7 via West Pass to the ICW. Please me know if you want to buddy boat, my boat speed is about 6 knots.
San Bernard water level should be back to normal by this weekend and weather looks great for crossing the Bay on Friday.
Looking forward seeing you in the mouth of the San Bernard.
If you like anchoring in protected anchorages, you might like this trip.
Playing Robinson Crusoe on the beach at San Bernard river mouse or dining out in style at Dido’s upstream restaurant. You can also spend the night at Dido’s docks (4 boats) and even do a B@B.
It can be all or part of the trip starting May 7th till 18th.
Anchor in the river anywhere away from Commercial traffic.
Upriver: 26 miles with a depth over 9 ft for a width of 50’
Bridge 42’ clearance at 10 NM, Dido’s at 12Nm from ICW.
Barge traffic about 1 barge a day I am told.
