In case you are wondering about the name of this cruise, “Worm Moon" is the name given to the last full moon of winter. The name comes from the emergence of earthworms as the ground thaws in early spring, which signals the return of birds and new growth.
The full Worm Moon will occur on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1:55 AM. It will be accompanied by a total lunar eclipse that will be visible in parts of the Americas …
Eclipse begins on March 13 at 10:57 p.m. CDT and ends at 5:00 a.m. CDT on March 14. Totality begins begins on March 14 at 1:26 a.m. CDT and ends at 2:32 a.m. CDT. Duration of totality is about 66 minutes. Lunar eclipses are safe to view with the unaided eye.
Join us to celebrate this unique occasion in typical TMCA fashion on a cruise to Bayland Marina.
Please register on the TMCA site with complete boat information and note if you plan to come for both nights or just Saturday. We will provide your slip assignment by email with a diagram of the marina. Our discounted rate for the weekend is $1.25 ft.
You will need to check in at the office to pay when you arrive.
Please fly your TMCA burgee and call on channel 68 when approaching the marina. There is a public boat ramp if anyone wants to bring their trailerable boat to explore the area.
