Please join us for a leisurely week-long cruise to Lake Charles.
Here’s your opportunity to push your boundaries a little and visit a new destination with folks who have done this trip a few times. You will build your boating experience by anchoring out, on the two-day trip over, and back.
Lake Charles is a neat little city, the marina is surrounded by parks, there are a lot of restaurants, shops, bars and an art gallery, all within walking distance.
We can Uber if necessary and will have some local friends available to drive us.
We are still planning the social part of the cruise, but likely we will enjoy the local restaurants and bars for most meals, and will have one potluck dinner on the dock. Just think “TMCA Restaurant Week in Lake Charles”!
I would like the participating cruisers to share in these plans and will email the group directly as we get closer to the trip, for their input and preferences.
Sunday October 05: Kemah to Taylor Outfall (anchor out) – 73nm
Monday October 06: Taylor Outfall to Bord du Lac Marina – 56nm
Oct. 06 – 10: Four nights at Bord du Lac Marina - $20 per night
Friday October 10: Bord du Lac to Taylor Outfall (anchor out)
Saturday October 11: Taylor Outfall to Kemah

You will need to call Norman at 337-348-2040 to reserve your slip (see dock plan)
He will then direct you to call the office at 337-491-1256 to pay for your slip
Diesel is available at nearby Bow Tie Marina for $3.50 per gallon.
