Channel Marker 17 is still there and they say their rear deck rebuild is complete. Electrical at Job Beason Marina has not been repaired and in fact needs a complete overhaul. Hurricane Tita's is marked closed permanently. The motel is also closed.  Fortunately, Doc's Fish Fry doesn't rely on anything other than the Job Beason docks being there and Channel Marker 17 being open and those conditions are met. it's March so you may not need more power than you can get from your house bank. This was a really fun cruise the last time we did it.

There is a brand new resort level "Oak Island Yacht Club" there now right next to Channel Marker 17 that has plenty of 30 foot slips with 30 Amp power for 100 dollars a night. There are a couple campers you can rent as well. They also have places to put your own campers. More details on this soon. Check back often if you're planning on going on this cruise

Everything past this point is from a cruise a couple years ago.

Set sail/motor for Job Beason Park Marina and a full weekend of great food, wine, and activities!

We will be taking the left fork to Job Beason Marina, not the right one that goes to Double Bayou, and slips are $25 a night, paid upon registration. We will be assigning slips soon. 

On Saturday evening make sure to bring a roll of quarters to play, "Screw Your Neighbor"! This year our official TMCA "Screw Your Neighbor" referee will be Sir Charles Parette. Sunday morning, Marker 17 will make us a nice breakfast for the price of a donation! They are hoping for a $10:00pp donation. 

To reserve for your slip please go to the link below for Chambers County and complete the application. Bring it with you to the cruise where it will be collected by the cruise leader.
